Other publications include Appropriation as Practice: Art and Identity in Argentina (Palgrave, 2006) and Futures Lost (Peter Lang, 2000). Experimental Film and Anthropology (co-edited with Caterina Pasqualino) will be published by Bloomsbury in 2014. He was a co-organizer of the 2003 international conference, Fieldworks: Dialogues between Art and Anthropology at Tate Modern, London.

Schneider states, “With the ‘ethnographic turn’ in the arts and the ‘writing culture’ critique in anthropology over the last few decades, arguably a climate of convergence between certain art and anthropology practices has been created.” This lecture, also moderated by Therese Veier from Kunstakademiet, KHiO, will critically appraise common areas of practice and theory and explore areas of future dialogue between the two fields in light of the new book, Anthropology and Art Practice.
